ECOPICK is an artificial intelligence (AI) based robot that recognizes and classifies a wide variety of objects on a conveyor belt, replacing the tasks usually performed by a manual triator. Its waste classification tasks consist of carrying out quality control of materials. But also the automated extraction of recoverable materials contained in the flow of “rejects” conducted to the cabin through a conveyor belt.

Ecopick uses Vision and Artificial Intelligence to automate the sorting and triage of recoverable material in recycling plants, works autonomously and can accurately process a high volume of waste.

Its learning is constant thanks to the deep learning algorithm that allows it to detect and recognize new shapes, colors and textures in changing environments. Software updates and an intelligent neural network capable of adapting to these changes provide a reliable long-term solution for optimizing end-of-line triage. Thanks to this we can guarantee returns on investment of less than 3 years in some plants.

PICVISA supplies a robotic unit to separate packaging and pharmaceutical waste from Sigre points in Spain.

Biotran is a pioneering plant specialized in the recycling of pharmaceutical packaging and waste in Spain, an Ecopick robotic unit designed to measure to separate the different materials from Sigre points in Spain with greater efficiency and speed.

The robot is equipped with a special Ø20mm suction cup, configured to separate different materials by suction. The installation is carried out in 4 phases: commissioning, dataset checks, performance tests, and warranty table checks.
