New recognition for Picvisa. The Demarcation of Central Catalonia of the Industrial Engineers of Catalonia unanimously awarded the 41st Guillem Catà Prize to the Calaf Grup company.
On the night of December 28, 2020, in an atypical edition due to the pandemic, the jury of the award met telematically and decided to recognize the technical team of Picvisa Machine Vision Systems SL for being an “innovative” technology-based company that from its origins is oriented to the circular economy through the selection and recovery of recycled materials.
The Jury acted under the presidency of Salvador Arqué and was made up of industrial engineers from the Anoia, Bages, Berguedà, and Osona. The highest representatives of the Manresa Chambers of Commerce, the Osona Delegation, the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, and the Anoia Business Union also participated. The decision was unanimous.
The Guillem Catà prize was usually awarded in October and was presented at a gala held in the region of the winning company. The Covid-19 crisis forced to postpone the celebration until the next edition in which, if circumstances allow it, two prizes will be awarded in a year.
Innovation, one of Picvisa’s values
