NEW ECOGLASS AT THE SAN MIGUEL GLASSES SHOWROOM
The optical separator purifies white glass using PICVISA’s technology.
PICVISA has supplied a new optical separator for glass and others from the ECOGLASS family, specifically the EG600 model. The equipment has been installed in a plant for refining and cleaning glass from the Ecovidrio circuit. The plant, managed by San Miguel Glasses, is located in Valencia, Spain.
The Ecoglass 600 optical separator, supplied together with its vibrating feeder, has been installed in the line of the plant in charge of refining and cleaning white glass. This comes from the Ecovidrio circuit and has a particle size of 5-50mm before melting.
The company Vidrios San Miguel contracted Picvisa to cover its need to obtain clean glass from CSP and with a lower proportion of opal glass for its correct melting, as when these arrived in the melting furnace the fraction did not melt and caused problems inside the furnace.
The plant works a daily shift of 8 hours and the optic works with a capacity of 6T/h. Thanks to the PICVISA technology, tested before purchase by the customer in our test plant TEST CENTER, it achieves a yield of 96% and a purity of 97%.
