PICVISA has been awarded Innovation Coupons from ACCIÓ, the Catalan government agency for business competitiveness, which provide economic support for companies undertaking innovation projects with recognised technology centres.

The coupons work as a form of co-financing – covering part of the cost of working with an accredited technology centre on a defined innovation project. For a company like PICVISA, whose products depend on continuous development in areas like artificial vision and machine learning, this kind of support helps make it possible to pursue projects with specialist technology partners that might otherwise be harder to justify on a purely internal budget.

Beyond the financial support, being awarded these coupons also serves as a form of external validation – ACCIÓ's accreditation process is itself a guarantee of the technical quality of the centres involved, which reinforces the credibility of the R&D work being carried out.
